Beautiful Meditators:
Bodhi Day is December 8th:
Bodhi Day is the Buddhist holiday that commemorates the day that the historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautauma (Shakyamuni), experienced enlightenment, also known as bodhi in Sanskrit and Pali.
We will meet for meditation (Sunday) November 29th from 6 – 7:30 pm in the Walker Room at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington Normal.
Someone will choose the reading from a new book that Jeff is sharing with us by Joseph Goldstein, titled Insight Meditation.(blurb from back of book attached) We will read a chapter a week during our session. We also welcome other Buddhist writings or videos or dharma talks on occasion. Thank you for sharing this book with us Jeff.
